The father of my children passed away suddenly. Sometimes, one comes to a place of peace and doesn't get a chance to converse with the significant one about the transformation. There are some things in this life that are between an individual and the Great Supernatural.
Zines can be a great way to process grief.
Some time ago, when my mother's mother passed away at 101 years of age, a friend of my sister's encouraged us to attend the synagogue with him. He said we could join him and others to pray for the departed.
This little zine is made from a standard sheet of printing paper that has been primed with gesso and then oil water-based crayons and acrylic painted on top. The zine, like the ones in synagogue, is read from right to left.
