Angel of Grace

When I've worked with clients struggling for sanity, sobriety, peace and the ability to love, scrambling, scratching, crawling, groping along life's pathway they wonder why it is difficult to heal. Even after they've told me about the abuse and violence from their childhood, the disconnect with their body from the trauma does not enable them to relate their childhood loss with their insatiable need for love/satisfaction. The gratification that only love gives. The time seems to have passed them by until they look back and remember the dog the redwood trees brush in the golf course fishing on the river the wooden staircase to the back door. Childhood loss is on one side of the scale and the addiction on the other. Between the two is the angel of grace.
