HELD

"Held" 16"x12" Oil on Canvas
A work relationship has ended.  One that was deeply intimate and, there is loss of who I thought I was, loss of who I thought the other was.  When there has been deception, harsh judgment and unforgiveness, distortion is greater.
There is a defenselessness when one chooses to let go, when one denies resentment and blame.  There is a vulnerability that has ground, that leaves one wanting family and friends to be closer than they were before, to encircle one with their wisdom and insight.
In times of defenselessness, when one surrenders fully to life, there is a sense of being held by a greater force, an indescribable energy of peace.
